There is an endless array of diets that people are using to lose weight today. One of these diets includes the 1000-Calorie diet. Everyone knows that if you cut back on the number of calories that you take in during the day there is a better chance that you will begin to lose weight. However, there are some diets that are not as safe as you might think. It has been found that cutting back your diet to 1000 calories a day can be quite drastic and for some people it could be dangerous. It is recommended that you should only sue this diet if you wish to lose a few pounds in a short period of time. It is not recommended for a large amount of weight loss. If you wish to use the 1000-calorie diet to lose weight then you should be very aware of what are the best and worst foods to eat. Eating the wrong foods will result in hunger and binge eating could result.  

Sticking to a diet such as the 1000-calorie diet is not a good idea. You must keep in mind that if you lead a busy life and you only take in 1000 calories there is a chance that you are not getting the proper of amount of nutrients and vitamins needed to sustain a healthy lifestyle. As a result people who are limiting the number of calories that take into their body during a twenty-four hour period could be putting themselves at risk for illness. If you stay on this diet then you body will go into what has been referred to as famine mode. This means that over a period of time you will not be able to eat a large amount of food and you could end up being hungry all the time and then binge eating to the point that you make yourself sick.
