I heard that the insurance companies won’t do this surgery unless you are desperately desperately in need of it for an immediate life or death situation. So my question is how are all of these people getting it? I weight over 500 lbs and they wont even let me get it , and these people are skinny compared to me!! Anyone know?
Such an inspiration to all. I’m on almost year band-aniversery. I was 220 pounds and now I’m about 117 pounds. It’s hard work, but well worth it. I wouldn’t change a thing, my only regret was I didn’t have it sooner.

patriciafrance1983 ~~~~ Tri Care should cover it without question, pending how your base is set up….Ft Bliss it is included since the Drs are located inside the Army Hospital…. I was so excited about getting this done, I can hardly stand it lol.. 3 deployments a teenager, home schooling, running a business and running a crew..not to mention I quit smoking…yea… gotta love it lol.. Congrats on your loss thus far, keep up the good work chickie!!
I got the lap band surgery in March of 08, I am now down to a size 12 from a size 22, I would suggest this surgery to anyone, and I just put in a referral to get a tummy tuck because I have a lot of loose skin on my stomach. Hoping Tricare covers it!!!
